Lately I've been watching a lot of Turner Classic Movies and I've fallen in love with the male characters in them.
Not necessarily the actor (even though Robert Redford and Yul Brynner are fine).Movies just don't have the men that they used to.
People compare Brad Pitt to Robert Redford and he just doesn't compare. Brad Pitt could never play any character that Robert Redford played because writers don't write the male character like they used to.

I totally agree! But wait till you see a Clark Gable movie...now that is a fine example of a male character.
