My glasses lost both nose pads

One of my two goldfish died.

My computer cord stopped charging.

My second gold fish died.

My Debit Card was on the fraud list and had to be canceled.
and
I spilled developer from the photolab on my BYU-I hoodie, which bleached it.

Simply Satisfied

Simple Pleasures that make my day:

Waking up with my alarm and actually feeling rejuvenated!
(and no mom, I didn't go to bed any earlier)

Getting to drive the big red van on the campus sidewalks.

Coming home and skipping last nights leftovers and going straight to the graham-crackers and frosting.

Driving through puddles, sending up huge walls of water.

Going downstairs to my clean room, complete with made bed.

Watching E! News so I can keep up on all the latest celebrity gossip.

Laughing at stories with Abbey and Erin at work.

Bible In A Minute

I'm sorry that all my blogs have just been youtube videos lately!
I'm so out of ideas and school is draining me!
My friend showed me this video and I had to share it.
I think my favorite part is, "Adam-Eve". Watch for it.

Lucky 5

I found this on Laura's blog and thought it sounded like fun---hope you all agree!
I'm excited to see who the first 5 lucky ducks will be!
The first 5 to respond to this win something from me! But...you have to do this:
Repost this to your own blog and offer the same thing to your first 5 responders.
The first 5 who repost it to their own blog will get something made by me! My choice. For you! This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make
2.What I create will be just for you.
3. It'll be done this year-no guarantees on when this year, but sometime in 2009!
4. You have no clue what it's going to be. the possibilities are endless.
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
The first 5 people post this on their blog and leave a me comment telling me they did, win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me!
Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it! Sounds like fun right?!?
So let's PLAY!

Good Thing This Came Along

More Youtube.
This commercial cracks me up.
It is so dramatic, and I'd like to see someone actually wear this at a public sporting event.
The people look like monks with the snuggies on.

This one makes me laugh every time!
The mom or whoever the woman is is a NUT!
She has to be on something.

Sweat Shop!

For those of you who don't know, I'm in an advanced sewing class.
The project we've been working on lately is a plaid long sleeved button up shirt.
I finally finished despite having to start completely over after a fabric catastrophe!
Here are some wonderful male models modeling the shirt I made.
I am giving the shirt to Lydia, hopefully she enjoys it!

This is Carson, my FHE brother.

This is Justin my FHE brother.
Laura, he reminds me of Jason SOO much!

This is Justin again with Madison.
For my photo class I am supposed to take candid photos, so when I say "pretend you don't see me" Madison does very well while Justin looks like he is having troubles.

Good Thing It Is Resealable!

I recently went to the store to buy some new socks (I ran out and instead of doing laundry I just purchased some more).
I got the socks home, opened them up and threw the bag in the garbage.
Then I noticed that the package the socks came in had a little zipper on it like a ziploc bag.
I wonder why on earth socks would come in a resealable bag?
I'm pretty sure no one goes to the store and doesn't decide to buy a certain brand of socks because their package doesn't reseal.
It doesn't make sense!!!(not actual package)

Jamie did this and said whoever read her blog was tagged.
Same goes for me, you read it, you're tagged.

What you do: Post the fifth picture in your fifth photo folder.

This is on the way home from my 21st birthday party at Olive Garden.
I look like a poo!

There Are No Stupid Questions

As a result of yesterday's blog I made today my mission to find the answer to the questions I asked.

Here is what I found.

Hellman's and Best Foods are indeed the same product and they are even made at the same plant. In 1932 the Hellman's company and the Best Foods company merged. Best Foods has always been sold west of the Rockies and Hellman's has always been sold east of the Rockies.

Dryer's ice cream plant was established in the west and as their product moved eastward they noticed a problem. The people in the east were confusing Dryer's with an already established brand of Ice Cream: Breyers. So the Dryer's company, wanting to continue business in the east, made the name Edy's for the people in the east.
Same exact ice cream, just a different name.

Otter Pops and Pop Ice come in the same exact flavors yet obviously yeild two different names.
Otter Pops began being distributed in the 70's by a company called National Pax, to rival the Jel Sert's Pop-Ice and Fla-Vor-Ice products. In 1996, Jel Sert acquired the rights to Otter Pops.
Otter Pops are distributed in the West because that is where their plant is. The plant that manufactures Pop Ice is in the East.

I didn't get a real clear answer on the one that had me really puzzled. The butter sticks. A few different customer service people had some ideas though. One said it was probably just the area they are manufactured. Well duh! Another one offered a little more help. He said that often things are manufactured than shipped to different companies for labeling, so in reality most of the brands we purchase are exactly the same and we are just paying for a name. He thought that maybe there was a plant in the west that manufactured short sticks and shipped to companies for labeling and a company in the east which produces longer sticks.

Let's Call The Whole Thing Off!

How many of my readers are familiar with the song, "Tomato, Tomato, Potato, Potato, Let's call the whole thing off". Of course the word Tomato and Potato are pronounced two different ways.
Well having spent some time in the West and most of my time in the Mid-West I've discovered some odd things that bear some explanation.

For example:

Why no where in the Mid-West can I buy Otter Pops?
Yet, in the West I can't buy Pop-Ice.

Why is the butter in the West in short fat sticks and the butter in the Mid-West in a longer rectangular shape?
Even the same brand of butter in the West is different shaped in the Mid-West.

Why in the West is "real" mayo called Best Foods and in the Mid-West it is called Hellman's.
They clearly have the same packaging, why the different name?
My roommate even saw a commercial talking about Best Foods but the jar on the TV said Hellman's.
What gives?

Why in the West do I go to the store and buy Dryer's Grand Ice Cream, but when I'm at home in the Mid-West I guy Edy's Grand Ice Cream.
What is the deal?
